This was mentioned during the fire station’s Groundbreaking Ceremony held today, June 18, 2021, in the said barangay.

According to Fire Inspector Gilbert Ngaya-an, the fire station will be a two-storey building, with mezzanine attic, 2 garages, and can accommodate around 25 people.

The station has an area of 12.5 meters by 14 meters. The ground floor will compose of porch, receiving area, offices, quarters area with comfort rooms, communication area, storage room, and fire truck garage.

The second floor will have quarters designated for female and male personnel, dining kitchen with comfort room.

The roof deck will be an open area with ceiling.

Ngaya-an disclosed that there will be 2 standby firetrucks at the garage.

Ngaya-an recalled that BFP Pasil did not have a permanent station since 2016 such that they have had to move from a residential house to the old Philippine National Police (PNP) building to another residential house.

Donation of the lot for the fire station

It was only on December 4, 2018 that the Local Government Unit (LGU) Pasil, through the leadership of Mayor Alfredo Mallanag Jr. and authorization of the Sangguniang Bayan, donated a lot for the fire station building.

The donation, as explained by Ngaya-an, is the main requirement for the funding of the construction of fire station.

Notice to construct was issued in January 2021 and it was on February 22, 2021 that the notice was received by the contractor.

Ngaya-an revealed that the fire station should be finished after 240 days upon the receipt.

“We are very thankful for the LGU Pasil for exerting effort tapnu makita tayo tapnu han lang nga arapaap wennu dream ti BFP nga agkaroon ti fire station so adda tuy, narealize ket maaddaan ti BFP ti conducive and secure workplace of our frontline services tapnu maymayat ti panagrender iti serbisyo,” Ngaya-an underscored.

Meanwhile, Mayor Malannag asked for cooperation among the public with the government for progress and development to be attained.
