P8.5M worth Balbalan Municipal Police Station now complete

Balbalan, Kalinga – New office and surroundings are waiting for the uniformed men and women of the Balbalan Municipal Police Station as their newly constructed 3-storey building has been completed.

 

The new structure is a standard type B/C building of the Philippine National Police. It is a three-storey building which provides more convenient offices and a conference hall for the police officers.

 

According to PSMS Lee Banggawan, the Chief Supply of the PNP Balbalan, the new building was funded with P8.5 million through the General Appropriations Act (GAA). The lot where the structure was erected, on the other hand, was donated by the Balbalan Municipal Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Almar Malannag.

 

Lee also told GURU Press Cordillera that all municipal police stations in Kalinga have now the standard building with the completion of the one in Balbalan.

 

“Ito na yung pinaka-standard natin sa buong Pilipinas, sa lahat ng PNP buildings. Daytoy iti naudi for Kalinga. The whole Kalinga, kastoy amin iti building dan,” he said.

 

On behalf of the Balbalan Municipal Police Station, Lee conveyed they are grateful for the new structure and that the new workplace is expected to further improve the services of PNP Balbalan to the people.

 

“Mayat ta addan napintas nga building. Para kadagiti next tun nga agpulis nga taga ditoy, at least adda daytan nga napintas nga pag-opisinaan tapnu kasla met lang mas napintas iti panagserbisyo da ditoy Balbalan ta naganas met iti agtrabaho nu kasta iti pagyanan ta,” he said.

 

The new police station will be occupied by the police officers in town after its inauguration ceremony which is yet to be scheduled as of this writing.
