Pageant neophyte wins "Libnos ti Luna 2023"

Luna, Apayao – Among 23 dashing ladies, an 18-year-old neophyte in beauty pageant took home this year’s 'Libnos ti Luna' crown.

Libnos means a neat and pretty lady of good character worthy of emulation.

Wearing makeup and fitted clothes is not Dennelyn Jhoy Olivas’s thing nor is participating in a pageant, she admitted following her win on August 02, 2023 at BGVJr Memorial Sports Center.

What made her decide to represent her barangay, Shalom, in the Search for Libnos ti Luna was the eagerness to conquer her fears and this includes standing before a crowd. She wrote she wanted ‘to win over the things that scare me the most, my own fears to socialize’.a

That exact determination didn’t just allow her to face her fear, it also brought her to the much-desired title in Luna.

Other awards collected by Dennelyn during the search include Best in Talent and Most Photogenic.

“Thank you so much to all the people who supported me all throughout this journey! God bless!!” she stated.

Libnos ti Luna first runner-up, meantime, is Eulie-ann Omotoy and the second runner-up is Ellaine Kaye De Peralta.
