Paralympian Agustina Bantiloc receive P.1M incentive from Tanudan LGU

Tanudan, Kalinga – Among the people who take so much pride in the qualification and participation of Agustina Bantiloc in one of the biggest global sporting events are her fellow iTanudans.

Bantiloc who hails from Lubo is one of the ‘Philippine Sensational Six’ sent to play for the country in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. She is the first-ever Filipina para-archer to compete in the event.

On Monday, October 07, Bantiloc returned to her home province and was welcomed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag. Together, they went to Banagao, Poblacion where the iTanudans waited for her.

Taking pride in another international athlete from the municipality, the Tanudan Local Government Unit showed appreciation to Bantiloc through a plaque of recognition and a P100,000 cash incentive.

Mayor Dagadag conveyed that Bantiloc is a testament to how far perseverance leads a person who clings to her dreams. He calls the iTanudans especially the younger generations and the Persons with Disability to be inspired by the example set by the paralympian who is proving herself to the world in the archery event.

“Daytoy kuma success ken istorya ni ma’am Agustina iti mang-inspire kada tayo amin nga nu agpursigi tayo, uray nu anya man iti kasasaad ken challenges tayo iti biyag, nu la ketdi itul-tuloy tayo nga aramiden iti kabaelan tayo para iti arapaap tayo iti biyag, dumteng iti aldaw nga magun-od tayo amin dagitoy,” he said.
