Tabuk City, Kalinga – Police Colonel Gilbert Fati-ig is officially back home to lead the Kalinga police force, following the turnover of command ceremony held at Camp Captain Juan M. Duyan in Bulanao on Thursday, October 16.

A native of Tinglayan, Kalinga, Fati-ig brings with him more than three decades of experience in operations and leadership, with most of his years in the police service dedicated to serving and protecting his kakailyan (townmates).

The new Kalinga Provincial Director is not new to the position, as he previously held the same post in June 2024 before being reassigned to lead the Abra Police Provincial Office earlier in 2025. His most recent designation before returning to Kalinga was at the PRO-CAR headquarters in La Trinidad, Benguet.

Meanwhile, PCol. Mangili, who served as Kalinga’s top cop since December 23, 2024, was awarded the Medalya ng Kasanayan in recognition of his efforts and initiatives to maintain peace and order in the province.
