Tabuk City, Kalinga – Provincial Governor Engr. Ferdinand B. Tubban led the provision of 75 units of printers and two motorcycles to the Department of Education (DepEd) Kalinga, today, November 15.

Said project aims to help the preparation and transport of modules to the school children as the county continues to cope with the challenges of the pandemic, especially among learners and teachers.

The initiative was made possible through the “adopt-a-school” program of the provincial government where the PLGU and DepEd Kalinga built partnership in creating programs and launching projects, hoping to improve the delivery of educational services to yKalinga students.

In a statement, Governor Tubban said that the students will be more inspired to study when they are provided with the needed learning materials, to at least help ease the difficulties as they adjust to the new learning methods.

"Mamati nak a nu adda met dagituy mausar ti ubbing tayo a makatulong kanyada a makabasa, ket maka-eskwela da met nga usto. Nu maka-eskwela da, dakkel ti pag-asa a magaw-at da dagiti arapaap da. Adda kadagituy aannak tayo iti hope nga agbalin a napinpintas iti ili tayo a Kalinga," he said.

“Importante ti edukasyon ti ubbing tayo ken masapul a mabantayan daytoy ta isu ti dakkel a mang-apektar ti masakbayan da. While we can do something, we have to work. Let us work together for a better tomorrow,” he said.

Meantime, officials of DepEd-Kalinga expressed gratefulness to the initiative of the Kalinga Provincial Government.

The agency on a Facebook page published that ‘SDO Kalinga is proudly grateful for these resources turned over today from the Provincial Local Government Unit of Kalinga, in support of the delivery of quality basic education.’

As recalled, the same assistance was also given to DepEd- Kalinga Division on June 16, 2021.
