Baguio City, Philippines – A police officer from Baguio City was arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting his subordinate at Batasan, Barangay Bagumbayan, Lupon, Davao Oriental.

The suspect was identified as Police Major Warren Damogo Dilem, 35, a resident of Camp 7, Baguio City, and the OIC-Force Commander of 2nd Davao Oriental Provincial Mobile Force Company (DOPMFC).

In a report by the Davao Oriental Provincial Office, it said the incident happened at 3 AM on Friday, June 10, 2022, hours after they attended the Guardians Battalion Quarterly Socials, a party held by members of the Philippine Army’s 48th Infantry Battalion.

The 34-year-old victim said Dilem was already drunk, while she had one bottle of beer when they returned to their headquarters.

According to the victim, she was about to sleep when the suspect knocked on her door and upon opening it, the official sexually attacked her.

The victim said she tried to fight back but was overpowered.

The patrolwoman had a chance to escape and seek help after Dilem fell asleep.

The victim felt hesitant to inform authorities of what happened due to the influential position of the suspect, but eventually decided to report it.

Dilem was arrested Friday night.

This Monday morning, June 13, the patrolwoman filed a rape complaint against the police major.
