Pasil, Kalinga – The volunteerism of the 2nd Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company (KPMFC) has gained praise from communities assisted by the group through their barangayanihan efforts, showing they are not only trained for catching criminals but also for supporting and aiding those in need.

The 2nd KPMFC has aided at least 10 barangays and a school in Upper Kalinga.

2nd KPMFC Information Operation Police Non-Commission Officer Pat Antonette Viernes, during their barangayanihan activity on June 12, said that in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic it is part of the duty of the police to protect lives, and thus the creation of the barangayanihan project.

Viernes explained that the community and the police are allies in strengthening not just peace and order but also in promoting health and wellness.
