Cagayan, Philippines – A man in Zambales who allegedly raped his 2 daughters and went into hiding was finally arrested on Tuesday evening, October 26 in Rizal, Cagayan.
The man has a warrant of arrest for 2 counts of rape, rape by sexual assault, and 2 counts of violation of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
In a news brief, Police Regional Office 2 – Public Information Office stated that the 51-year-old suspect who is married and a resident of Botolan, Zambales is the top one most wanted person in his province.
Police report revealed that the suspect is accused of sexually abusing his two daughters who are 18 and 13 years old.
His most recent offense, according to the police, happened last February 27, 2021, when he was intoxicated and his 13-year-old daughter was already lying on her bed. It was disclosed that at that point, the suspect repeatedly touched her breast.
The suspect was also said to have maliciously touched the sensitive parts of his 13-year-old daughter while they were inside their house in October 2020.
Apart from the minor, he was also accused of raping his 18-year-old daughter inside their house last year. The victim also disclosed that their father started sexually abusing her when she was 7.
After his arrest in Cagayan, the suspect was transported to Zambales and was turned over to Zambales Provincial Jail.
