Pasil, Kalinga – Municipal Mayor of Pasil, Alfredo ‘Chao-ig’ Malannag Jr. who won his reelection bid posed a challenge to the newly elected officials in the locality to work hard and pursue services towards development.
The mayor made the remark during the proclamation of the winning candidates by the Commission on Election held on May 10 at the Municipal Gymnasium, Amdalao, Pasil.
Malannag garnered a total of 3,918 votes against former Kalinga Board Member, Emilio Kitongan who got 2,314 votes.
He extended his appreciation and gratitude to his supporters not only those in the municipality, but also those from other places and even abroad.
He thanked the community for giving him another chance to continue the programs and projects he has started. A remarkable achievement was the completion of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) 2020-2030, the first to be completed in the whole of Kalinga, that would serve as a reference to an organized and appropriate implementation of various projects.
Malannag further congratulated the other officials for their success and urged them to unite for faster development.
“Welcome and congratulations to the newly elected officials. I challenge you all to work harder in unity for the continued progress and development of our municipality. Chumilang Pasil!” stated the mayor in his official Facebook page.
