Santa Marcela conferred with 2024 SubayBAYANI Awards

Santa Marcela, Apayao – The municipality of Santa Marcela has earned a national recognition as one of the awardees of the SubayBAYANI Awards - Exemplar from the DILG for its outstanding performance in implementing infrastructure projects.

Mayor Evelyn B. Martinez received the award at the Sequoia Hotel, Aseana in Paranaque City on December 3. Said recognition, according to the DILG, underscores the municipality’s excellent governance and efficient project implementation geared towards the welfare of the people.

The award was given by the DILG as an outcome of the LGU’s effective project implementation, its timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and quality.

The Subaybayani is a flagship program initiative of the DILG that honors LGUs that demonstrate outstanding infrastructure governance. It is supported by the Subaybayan, an online monitoring platform created by the department to ensure accountability and transparency. Under this, the municipality has showcased its leadership in managing and utilizing funds.

Said program emphasizes the crucial role of local government in driving community transformation through efficient project implementation and monitoring.

Mayor Martinez, during the awarding program, lauded the dedication and commitment of all the personnel and offices of the of the LGU and said the recognition serves as an inspiration for them to continue delivering faster and better services to the people of Santa Marcela.a
