SEARCH for Mr. and Miss Cordillera is Back: Screening of applicants set on June 30

Baguio City, Philippines – The Search for Mr. and Miss Cordillera is back, and it has begun looking for the next crown bearers to represent the beauty, culture, and pride of the region.

Harvic Dominguez, founder of ‘Mr. & Ms. Cordillera - The Pageant’ announced there will be a screening for official candidates for the 2025 edition of the Mr. and Miss Cordillera at 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on June 30 at the Le Monet Hotel, Baguio City.

“After years of public demand and a long pause brought on by the pandemic, we are proud to bring back Mr. & Ms. Cordillera - The Pageant. We call on all Cordillerans and friends of the region to support our comeback. Watch out for the official candidates soon and join us in celebrating the culture, pride, and future of the Cordilleras,” Dominguez expressed.

What makes MR. and MS. CORDILLERA unique from other pageantries

In an interview with GURU Press Cordillera, Dominguez said that the pageantry established in 2010 has a vision to provide a dignified and meaningful platform for young Cordillerans to showcase their beauty, intelligence, talent, and passion for advocacy.

“As a proud Cordilleran myself, I have been continually inspired by the many gifted, driven, and culturally rooted young individuals across the region. Meeting so many talented and intelligent Cordillerans over the years motivated me to create a space where these rising stars could shine on a stage that highlights not only their looks, but more importantly, their values, leadership, and love for heritage,” he said.

When asked about what makes the pageant different among other pageantries, the young founder said that it unites the region, celebrates inclusivity, and inspires future leaders.

“What sets MMC apart is its unique approach and groundbreaking impact. First, it unites all provinces of the region, promoting solidarity and shared identity. Second, it was the first in the region to feature both male and female candidates in one inclusive event. Third, MMC has produced a number of outstanding individuals who went on to excel in national pageants, professional fields, and advocacy work related to culture and youth. Lastly, it has maintained its reputation as a premier pageant—among the most anticipated events in the Cordilleras and Northern Luzon,” Dominguez expounded.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should prepare application attachments, like an endorsement letter from the town or province represented and a birth certificate.  Applicants officially endorsed by their respective town or province may send their application form with the required attachments via email to project_playinc@yahoo.com or through the official Facebook page of Ms. and Mr. Cordillera.
