SLU reclaims TOP 1 spot in the Aug. 2025 MedTech board examination

Baguio City, Philippines – From thousands of examinees carrying their alma maters’ name, graduates of the Saint Louis University once again collectively delivered the highest passing rate in the August 2025 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination (MTLE).

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 58 of the 3,660 passers of the August 2025 MTLE are from SLU. Out of the number, 57 made it to the passing list, the PRC announced on Wednesday, August 25.

The number collectively gave SLU a 98.28% passing rate, reclaiming their top one spot in the ranking of top performing schools. It could be recalled that SLU was hailed top 1 in the August 2024 MTLE with 95.40% passing rate. The university, however, placed second in March 2025 after the 303 examinees from SLU delivered 99.67% passing rate.

PRC, meantime, informed that there were 4,720 examinees who took the MTLE on August 12 – 13, 2025. The exam was administered across testing centers in National Capital Region, Baguio City, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
