Santa Marcela, Apayao - The Sta Marcela District Hospital proudly secured 3rd place under the Infirmary Category by the Regulatory, Licensing and Enforcement Division (RLED) of Department of Health- Center for Health Development -Cordillera Administrative Region (DOH-CHD-CAR).

The award highlights the district hospital's rigorous adherence to regulatory protocols, prioritization of patient safety, and delivery of services aligned with the DOH's healthcare policies. The officials of the health institution said this reflects the dedication of the hospital's staff to maintaining high-quality care.

In their Facebook post, the hospital shared," this achievement is not just ours but also yours. Your trust and support inspire us to keep improving and giving the best care everyday. You are the reson we keep aimjng higher. Together, we make quality healthcare possible." The message emphasized the community's role in driving the hospital's success and its ongoing mission to serve residents.

Dr. Roy C.Julian, Chief of Hospital, attributed the recognition to the collaborative efforts among staff, local leaders and stakeholders."This award motivates us to further enhance our facilities and services, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our patients,"he stated.

The DOH-CHD-CAR's RLED evaluates healthcare institutions annually based on infrastructure, staff competency, infection control, and patient satisfaction. SMDH ranking places it among the top rural healthcare providers in the Cordillera region, signaling its vital role in advancinh accessible and equitable medical care.

Mayor Evelyn Martinez lauded the achievement as a testament to the town's investment in public health.

“This recognition not only elevates the town’s profile in regional healthcare but also reinforces its promise to deliver compassionate, community-centred care for years to come,’’ the Mayor said.
