Tabuk City, Kalinga – Tabuk City Vice-Mayor and mayoral candidate, Bernard Glenn Dao-as on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, joined the other candidates for the May 9, 2022 election in signing the ‘Integrity Pledge’ of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) at Kalinga Astrodome.

Dao-as is one of the staunch critics of Mayor Darwin Estranero who said he would have not run if the present administration has done its job and has been transparent with its transactions.

Do-as accused Estranero of blatant corruption.

During the event initiated by COMELEC-Tabuk City, Dao-as vowed to ‘reject without any reservation the use of violence, force, or threats to influence the outcome of elections.’

Also, the mayoral candidate promised for his campaign to fully respect the will of the electorate and not to exercise undue influence, offer money, or other things of value, in exchange for votes.

“Neither shall I attempt to mislead or misinform the public through the use of falsified, fabricated, manipulated, or stolen information. I shall avoid the dissemination of altered and manipulated media that impersonate other candidate, including deep-fake videos,” stated Dao-as.

He further committed to adhere to the minimum health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of the dreaded virus.
