Tabuk police search riders involved in hit-and-run

Updated: Dec 4, 2022

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two unidentified motorcycle riders are now being searched by the police authorities in Tabuk City after hitting two vehicles and running away from their liabilities on November 27, 2022.

This came after their two victims reported the incident to the Tabuk City Police Station – Traffic Management Unit (TMU) on the said date.

According to the police investigator, one of the victims who was riding a quad bike claimed that he came from Daguitan Street in Dagupan Centro and was traversing the Dagupan Provincial Road going to Tabuk City Hall when the two suspects shouted at him ‘Hoy!’.

The two males who were onboard their motorcycle drove faster to catch up to him, which prompted the victim to speed up and drove past the city hall in order to get away from the suspects.

However, the suspects followed him and when they reached Julie’s Store at Quezon Street, Dagupan Centro, the motorcycle driven by the two suspects allegedly bumped into the back portion of the quad bike.

The victim continued driving, but the suspects didn’t stop and were said to have again hit his quad bike and this time the impact caused the vehicle to lose balance. The suspects’ motorcycle, however, went straight into a parked motorcycle on the side of the road and collided with it.

The two unidentified men were said to have escaped and run away from the place of the incident, leaving their damaged motorcycle behind.

Police investigators then proceeded to the Information and Communication Technology Office in the city to request CCTV footage.

Through their official Facebook account, the Tabuk City Traffic Management Unit posted photos of the suspects. The police appealed to the public who can identify the two to immediately report any information to the authorities.
