Tadian, Mt. Province granted 50M for evacuation center

Tadian, Mountain Province – the Provincial Government of Mountain Province received P50 million pesos this January 22,2020 from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) for the construction of a Multi-Purpose Evacuation Center in the municipality of Tadian.


The grant, according to PAGCOR Community Relations & Services Assistant Vice President (AVP) Ramon Stephen R. Villaflor , was for the allocation of funds for building of evacuation centers by PAGCOR, adding that it was ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte.


In a report by PLGU Mountain Province, Villaflor said that in 2019, Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr requested a funding for said project which was then approved by the agency after accomplishment of needed requirements and identification of an area to put up said facility by the PLGU.


Once completed, Villafor said the building shall be utilized as evacuation centers during calamities, as classrooms and other temporary purposes.


Turn-over of said amount happened alongside with the ground breaking ceremony attended by Tadian LGU and PLGU officials.


Mayor Constito Masweng as a response expressed his gratitude to PAGCOR for the realization of said project and to the PLGU for their assistance to Tadian LGU in the completion of requirements needed.


He assured that Tadian LGU will do its part in managing the maintenance of the soon-to-be-built facility.


Governor Lacwasan, meantime, expressed his thanks to PAGCOR for allocating the 50 million for the multi-purpose evacuation center and for other projects the corporation has brought to the province.


Aside from this big project by PAGCOR, the governor mentioned that the corporation has implemented the construction of school buildings for Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School, Guinzadan National High School, Sadsadan Trail Elementary School and Paracelis National High School.


Provision of educational supplies and equipment like computers and television to Bauko Central School and Bila Elmentary School and school bags to students of Tamboan, Besao and Boringgal, Paracelis among others were also done by PAGCOR.
