Tabuk City, Kalinga - Reproduction of learning aids such as modules of various schools in Kalinga is now made easier with printers donated by Tabuk Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TAMPCO).

Chief Executive Officer Reverend Claudio Bagano explained the coop received a proposal from the School Division of Kalinga to sponsor the purchase of printers for selected schools that have meager resources.

Instead of giving the cash on hand, the largest coop in the province decided to buy the printers and hand them over to the recipients.

This July 5, the coop turned over five Epson L3110, to Biga National High School, Tinglayan National High School, Balbalan National High School, Batong Buhay National High School, and Santor Rizal National High School.

“We hope nga makatulong iti skwelaan nga recipient nga mangitedan ti Department of Education (DepEd) Kalinga ket dagituy, the total students nga possible nga matulungan na for this school year is more or less 900 students,” Bagano said during the turn-over.

The representative of the schools expressed gratitude to the coop for the ‘prompt action on the request’ and said they hope one day they can reciprocate the action.

“Thank you so much for the printer this is great actually haan lang nga bassit nga banag dayta para kadakami sir, it will be serving 250 learners again from Balbalan National High School (BNHS) this coming school year. Kasla dagiyay naibaga dagituy kakadwa tadtay talaga nga kurang ti printers mi,” BNHS Principal Susan Banatao exclaimed.

The TAMPCO CEO disclosed that the giving of printers is just among many projects that the coop has been doing to assist partner schools.

The coop previously allotted expenses for the medical missions to remote communities, donated rice, water supplies, food items, hygiene kits, sleeping mats, many more.

Bagano said more than giving material needs, the coop also wishes to help children learn how to save for their future through Aflatoun, a program that focuses on educating children about their rights and responsibilities and managing financial resources through social and financial education.
