TAMPCO and Brgy. Dagupan Centro join hands to extend support to inmates

Tabuk City, Kalinga- As part of every COOP’s work to give help to the community, Tabuk Multi-Purpose Cooperative has taken part in extending support to those Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in a joint community outreach with Brgy. Dagupan Centro on June 9, 2021 at BJMP District Jail, Bulanao, Tabuk City.


The cooperative believes it has part in creating a better place in the community and that wrongdoers can change.


TAMPCO’s care package given to the inmates includes 230 mat of vitamins, 230 pieces bottled water (1 liter), 230 pieces of bath soap and shampoo, and two drum containers.

Meanwhile, Brgy. Dagupan Centro gave 205 grocery packs aside from the 2 boxes of noodles and 2 boxes of powder and bar.

Although not huge of an aid, the assistance shall be of help especially to those who may not have family members who can visit and provide for them due to restrictions, distance or other reasons.


In an interview with Reverend CEO Claudio Bagano, he said that the joint outreach is part of their cooperative social responsibility, highlighting that PDLs like those who are free have been affected by the pandemic.


“Dagitoy talaga agkasapulan da tatta, imagine diay budget da nga 50 pesos a day, haan umanay karu ta awan unayen ti bumisbisita kenyada gapu ken daytoy nga pandemic,” he said.

Bagano also uttered a reminder for those PDLs to be patient and kind to overcome their situation and be free again.


On the other hand, BJMP district jail expressed their gratefulness for being the recipient of this Joint Community Outreach Pantry.


“Alaen mi daytoy nga gundaway nga iyebkas ti nabara kada kayo nga service providers para ti daytoy joint… Dakami nga personnel ken PDLs agyamyaman Launay,” Chief on Inmates Welfare and Development Program SJO2 Jeafe Dulliyao said.


The said event is the first joint outreach of TAMPCO with Brgy. Dagupan Centro and set to have a sustainability program for the PDLs.
