Tanudan, Kalinga – Another honor was brought to the Philippines and to the province by Paralympian Agustina Bantiloc after winning two bronze medals in the recently concluded 2026 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand.

Bantiloc, who hails from Lubo, Tanudan, is among the para-athletes who contributed to the Philippines’ historic performance in the 13th ASEAN Para Games, held from January 20 to 26, where the country placed 4th overall with a total of 134 medals. This is considered the largest medal haul delivered by the Philippine delegation since joining the Para Games in 2001.

The iKalinga Paralympian secured a bronze medal in the Women’s Individual Compound event after defeating her Vietnamese opponent, 135–130. She earned another bronze alongside Elizabeth Bayla after defeating the Indonesian duo in the Women’s Compound Doubles, 141–132.

With this feat, the people of Tanudan, through Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, once again expressed their pride in Bantiloc for raising the Philippine flag in one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events.

In a statement, Dagadag commended Bantiloc, saying:

“Congratulations manen ken kabsat tayo nga ni Ma’am Agustina ta nagiyawid manen iti pakaidayawan iti ili, haan lang nga Kalinga nu di ket iti entero nga Pilipinas. Maragsakan iti rikna mi nga taga Tanudan ken proud kami kanyana.”
