As recalled, the children’s parents Joey Gobyang, 29, and Carmen Gobyang, 33 were shot to death at around 11 o’clock in the evening of September 12, when during a heated argument, Carmen’s brother, Milandro Maslang, 40, and some family members came to intervene.

However, police reported that the situation worsened because of the way the suspect and the family members approached the situation, resulting in an escalated altercation among the family members, that resulted in the suspect shooting Carmen on the forehead and Joey on his temple.

Joey died on the spot while Carmen was rushed to the hospital where she eventually died.

The suspect was brought to Tanudan Municipal Police Station and was already charged with murder this September 14. Another case of murder is expected to be filed against him with the death of his sister, Carmen.
