Tinglayan, Kalinga – The waiting is almost over for iTinglayans who have long aspired to have their own infirmary as the construction of the Tinglayan District Hospital is planned to begin this year.

According to Municipal Administrator, Atty. Mark Dave Bang-as, the matter has been discussed during the Municipal Health Board meeting on July 30 at the Sangguniang Bayan Hall where it was noted that the building of the facility will possibly commence before 2025 ends.

The Tinglayan District Hospital was allotted with P30 million funding from the P999 million loan of the Kalinga Provincial Local Government, this is the municipality’s share from the budget as Tinglayan needs an infirmary which will attend to the immediate medical needs of the residents. It was noted that many sick and ill individuals including those who suffered injuries from accidents are still being ferried to Lubuagan for medical treatment; thus, the need for the facility.
