Lamut, Ifugao - Three State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Cordillera have achieved a rare academic feat after all their nursing graduates passed the November 2025 Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE), placing the region among the top-performing areas in the country.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on November 26 that 40,692 out of the 45,192 examinees successfully passed the nationwide exam conducted on November 4-5.

However, the exam in Cebu, Iloilo, and Tacloban was moved to November 6-7 due to the onslaught of Typhoon “Tino.”

Of the list of schools with a 100 percent rating in said test, the Saint Louis University (SLU) in Baguio City and Benguet State University (BSU) in La Trinidad joined the list of the top 1 performing schools in the country in Category A (100 examinees and more). SLU has 242 takers who all passed the board exam, while BSU has 151.

On the other hand, Ifugao State University joined the list of top 1 schools in Category B (50-99 examinees) after all 96 of its nursing graduates passed the test.

Meanwhile, Easter College-Baguio joined the list of top 2 in Category A with a 99.53% passing rate, with only one of its 211 takers failing.

While several SCUs in Cordillera have already achieved 100% passing rate in various board exams in past years, there are no publicly available reports showing that multiple SUCs in the region have posted such result at the same time.

This makes the performance of SLU, BSU, and IFSU in the November 2025 NLE a possible first in the region’s history.
