Three HEIs in Cordillera among top performing universities in Aug. 2025 Criminology Board Examination

Baguio City, Philippines – Criminology graduates of three tertiary schools in the Cordillera region delivered a high passing rate to their respective Alma matter, bringing their schools in the list of top performing universities in the recently-concluded Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE).


Late Friday night, September 12, the Professional Regulation Commission released the results of the August 2025 CLE, where the PRC announced that 51.45% or 13,074 out of 25,410 passed the board exam.

From the number of passers, three universities in the Cordillera region were included in the list of schools which produced more registered criminologists – they are the Cordillera Career Development College, the University of Cordilleras, and the King’s College of the Philippines Inc. – Benguet.


The Cordillera Career Development College was named top 3 in the ‘200 or more examinees with at least 80% passing percentage’ category with 80.43% passing rate or 189 passers out of 235 takers. The University of the Cordilleras, on the other hand, was listed top 2 in the 101 – 199 examinees category with 90.84% passing rate or 145 out of 155 takers.


Moreover, the King’s College of the Philippines Inc. – Benguet was named top 4 in the 51 – 100 examinees category after registering a 91.55% passing rate or 65 passers out of the 71 takers.


The three schools each commended their respective graduates for their feat in the August 2025 CLE and for delivering an impressive passing rate to their Alma matter.
