Tinglayan's MSMEs elevate sales with social media marketing training

Tinglayan, Kalinga - To support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and promote countryside development, some 15 individuals from Tinglayan were trained on social media marketing from April 25-26, 2024.

 

The workshop was initiated by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Kalinga through the Negosyo Center Tinglayan led by DTI-Business Counselor Rita Wilta.

 

The participants were coffee processors, food manufacturers and local producers in the municipality.


Serving as resource speaker is Ms. Princess Anne F. Dapeg, the manager of the Kalinga Pasalubong Products Online store.

 

Her talk revolved around topics such as Facebook page creation and management, taking photos of products and utilizing Canva Graphics in the creation of graphic designs.

 

Through the hands-on training, the participants were equipped with skills necessary in social media marketing.


By being able to create social media accounts and utilize it in the promotion of their products, it is expected that it would boost their sales, and even expand their business in the future.

 

The local government of Tinglayan, led by Mayor Sacrament Gumilab, is optimistic that the training would help local businesses in Tinglayan to thrive, thereby contributing to its economic growth and development.
