Trike driver in Echague, Isabela shot in the head; survives the killing

Echague, Isabela - A 48-year-old man in Echague, Isabela luckily escaped certain death after being shot in the head on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

The victim, identified as Joey Quiseng, is a tricycle driver and a resident of Barangay Annafunan, Echague.

A local media outlet narrated that at 6:15 am on the said day, Jaymark Bicarme reported the incident to the Echague Police Station.

Police immediately proceeded to the crime scene and conducted an investigation.

It was revealed that Quiseng was sleeping in his room when an unknown individual suddenly shot him through an open window of their house.

A caliber 9mm pistol is suspected to be the weapon used by the gunman.

Quiseng was immediately rushed to the hospital by his relatives. Fortunately, he survived the incident and is currently confined for further medical treatment.

At present, further investigation is being conducted to establish the suspect’s identity and his motive for the crime.
