Tuguegarao City acquires Ultra Low Freezer, able to store 15,000 doses of vaccines

Tuguegarao, Philippines ˗ Tuguegarao City is ready to receive Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines with their recent purchase of Ultra Low Freezer (ULF) on August 25.


Tuguegarao City Information Office reported that the ULF is among the initiatives of the city local government unit to qualify them to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine since the latter requires a -80°C to -60°C storage facility.


Moreover, the vaccine made in the USA is being administered in two doses with 3 weeks interval for each dose.


Once the ULF which can store 15,000 doses of Pfizer is inspected and approved by the Food and Drug Administration, the City of Tuguegarao will now be receiving Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines for their constituents.

Meantime, Tuguegarao City has recently received 500 doses of Moderna Vaccines and is expecting to receive another 3,700 for the A2 at A3 priority groups.

As of 4:00 PM of August 26, the city has 145 new Covid-19 cases in which five were re-exposure. These cases bring the total active Covid-19 cases in Tuguegarao to 1,348.
