Vice Gov. Odiem assures legislative support to Gov. Edduba’s programs

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Vice Governor Dave Odiem, who officially returned to his post on June 30 after winning the May 2025 elections, assured Governor James Edduba a smooth and harmonious working relationship for faster and better services to the public.

 

 Odiem is not new to serving as a vice governor as he held the post from 2019 – 2022.

 

In his address during the inter-agency flag raising ceremony on Monday, July 7, Odiem affirmed the commitment of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to the executive department led by Governor Edduba, saying they will be working hand in hand with him in serving the Kalinga people.

“The legislative body and the Office of the Vice Governor will serve as active partners in pushing forward the Governor’s plans and programs. The benefits of unity are automatic when there is collaboration,” Odiem expressed, as cited by the Kalinga Provincial Information Office.

 

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan, meantime, held their first regular session on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The new set of August body who were in complete attendance discussed and approved the official rules and procedures.

 

In an interview, the Vice Governor told Guru Press Cordillera that his office and the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan are ready to provide support to the plans of the executive to avoid delays in delivering government services.

 

Odiem likewise said they will soon finalize the assigning of committees and designations and begin working on their priority ordinances and resolutions.
