Tinglayan, Kalinga – Wrapping up the 45-day campaign period for local candidates, Ret. PCapt. Alexander Malasi leaves everything up to the 11,260 registered voters of Tinglayan to choose who they want to elect as their Vice Mayor for the next three years.

Malasi, who retired from the police service in 2023 and has since continued working for peace and order as a private citizen, has offered himself to lead the people of Tinglayan as he wanted to continue being an instrument of delivering better services to his hometown.

In the 45 days given to local political candidates to campaign, Malasi who has the reputation of being the cop who cannot be bought already laid out his plans and showed his intent to the people of Tinglayan.

As for his final message to the voters, Malasi invites the people to go out and exercise their right to suffrage on Monday as this is their chance to elect individuals they would want to lead them until 2028. If there is an advice he would want to give the iTinglayans, it is to choose based on credibility and not on money or any objects the political candidates gave or promised them.

“Dayta nga waras lang ket maibus or maigasto ti one day. Isu nga ti maibagak ken dagiti botantes ket be a wise voter. Adda ti right tayo nga mangpili nu sino ti ipatugaw tayo a kas opisyales tayo iti Municipality ti Tinglayan isu nga agpili tayo kuma based on credibility and qualifications iti maysa nga kandidato,” he said as he expressed his gratitude to those who prayed and rallied behind him in his bid for Vice Mayor in the May 2025 polls.
