Cagayan, Philippines – The man who was seen jumping off the newly inaugurated Camalaniugan-Aparri Bridge on January 9 is now in stable condition, the Cagayan Police Provincial Office (CPPO) reported.

The man, wearing a brown cap and blue shirt and later identified as a vlogger, was captured on video by passersby climbing the railings of the bridge and jumping into the river, shocking people in the area.

Fortunately, a man who was fishing under the bridge immediately responded and saved the vlogger from drowning. Moreover, one of the witnesses called the vlogger’s family to inform them of the incident.

Police officers from the Camalaniugan Police Station, who responded to the scene, confirmed that the man was safe and in stable condition. They added that he was in a sound state of mind when rescued and that his family brought him to Grupo Medico De Dios Hospital for assessment and medical intervention.

Following the incident, the Cagayan police expressed their appreciation to those at the site for their concern and prompt response, which helped prevent a potentially worse outcome.

Mardito Anguluan, was quoted as saying.
