Watch ‘The Wedding Dance’ as it hits the big screen on Aug. 03

Tabuk City, Kalinga -“…salak daytoy,” Lumnay, a wife who has to part ways with her husband as she cannot bear him a child, and he has to marry another woman to fulfill conventions, pined helplessly.

If these lines from the trailer already pulled your heartstrings, brace for more as Amador Daguio’s acclaimed short story, ‘The Wedding Dance’, is about to hit the big screen on August 03 at selected Ayala Cinemas.

The film is one of the finalists in the Cinemalaya 2024, and was brought to life by Igorot Filmmaker, Julius Legoen Lumiqued with Mai Fanglayan starring as Lumnay and Arvin Balageo as Awiyao.

The production was shot in Kalinga, the place where Daguio, a Filipino renowned writer and World War II poet lived.  

You can catch the cast at the Manila Bay Cinema 2 at 5:00 p.m. on August 03 for the GALA. The film will be shown on the same day at the Manila Bay Cinema 8 and 9 at 5:30 p.m.
