A woman gave birth to a healthy baby on a minibus in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 30-year-old pregnant woman from Sadanga gave birth inside a public bus Monday while on the way to Tabuk afternoon of June 14.

Kalinga Provincial Fire Director, SUPT Allan Eballar narrated that they received a call pass 2 o’clock today from the woman’s husband, saying his wife has given birth on the bus while they were in Barangay Lucog.

The BFP personnel with an ambulance immediately responded and met the minibus at Barangay Bantay. The personnel immediately attended to the mother who delivered a baby boy through the help of a ‘komadrona’.

The mother and her baby were transferred to the ambulance and rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

“In-assist po natin, may mga nurse naman po tayong personnel at ‘yun po, ginawaran po nila ng first aid hanggang nakarating po tayo sa KPH,” he said.

The provincial fire director added that the mother and the baby are both in good health.
