Woman in Baguio fights robber who used fake gun

Baguio City, Philippines – A lone female staff of a burger chain in Baguio City fights back against a male robber on August 18, 2022.

In a CCTV footage uploaded on Youtube by Waffy Casem, son of the owner of the establishment, it showed the suspect coming to the establishment at around 1:50 PM and later ordered food.

The man, form where he was seated, suddenly walked towards the counter, telling the lone staff some men were after him. Moments following the talk, the man suddenly drew his gun from his bag and forced the lady staff to give him the money.

Instead of giving him the money, the woman uncurled the gun from the suspect’s hand when she thought it could not be a real one.

The robber, however, was able to get some cash from the drawer and ran to escape. The chased him and hit him on the head with the fake gun while he was getting on his getaway motorcycle.

The suspect was later identified as a certain Marbee Clarete of Tagbilaran City, Bohol. The following day, on August 19, the Baguio City police were able to arrest the suspect.
