Tabuk City, Kalinga — Ghenesis Dalayday Latugat, the yKalinga beauty queen representing Baguio City concluded her Miss Universe Philippines journey in the top 10 during the pageant’s coronation night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on April 30, 2022.
Ghenesis was crowned Miss Baguio City last October 16, 2021.
The 22-year-old beauty queen who glowed and stunned in a gold dress bested 22 other finalists as she made her way to the Top 10 of the prestigious beauty competition in the country.
When she was asked about her favorite color of the rainbow during one of the pageant’s segment of getting to know the top 10, Ghenesis looked back at her roots.
“My favorite color is red. To tell you a story, red is something that signifies where I came from, where my hometown is. When I look at red, it’s something that makes me powerful, makes me confident that is why I know with red, I am confident and beautiful with it,” she confidently answered.
Meantime, Pasay’s Celeste Cortesi, 24 was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2022. Other titles were given to Michelle Dee from Makati who was named Miss Universe Philippines Tourism; Pauline Amelinckx of Bohol, Miss Universe Philippines Charity; Annabelle McDonnel of Misamis Oriental, Miss Universe Philippines 1st runner-up; and Ma. Katrina Llegado, Miss Universe Philippines 2nd runner-up.
This year’s Miss Universe Philippines started with 50 dazzling ladies before they were trimmed down to the Top 32 finalists who competed live at the coronation night.
