YPasil teacher writes book to inspire youth and raise fund for the needy

Pasil, Kalinga – A teacher of Central Pasil National High School (CPNHS) recently authored “A Book for a Cause” hoping to inspire the youth while making ways to raise funds to provide medical assistance to those in need.

Freedie Balansi, a Teacher III at CPNHS, penned the book “Passing the Torch” that contains his life’s journey, noting his learnings, the virtues, and values of being a youth leader. The book is expected to be released before December.

Balansi, in an interview, explained that he was motivated to write the book to raise funds to provide financial assistance to patients.

He related that before the construction of the dialysis center at Kalinga Provincial Hospital, he witnessed the difficulties of patients who are both physically and financially challenged.

“Nu mapanak ag-eskwela idiay Tuguegarao ti graduate school ko, adda dagiay makaluganak a mapan agpa-dialysis and then mariknak ngay ti rigat da nga aside from physical, diay financial da ngay piman isu dagiay ti nang-motivate kenyak nga agsurat ti libro and that is the way a makatulong nak ta kayat ko lang man a tumulong iti financial,” the educator said.

Also, Balansi aims to help the programs of the youth, and at the same time encourage them that even at their age, they can inspire their fellow youth and other people in their own way.

Book as an offshoot of international book writing workshop

The educator narrated that the “Passing the Torch” is an offshoot of the international seminar/workshop on book writing that he attended via Zoom webinar last September.

After absorbing information, he made his draft on the first week of October, then submitted it to his coach, who edited and processed its publishing.

The book is now with International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and is currently being proofread.

As of yesterday, November 9, there are 76 who made reservations for the P250 worth book. Some of them are from Nigeria and Africa.

Balansi then appealed to the public to buy the book and help dialysis patients with their financial needs.

“If you are blessed, you can also bless other people. You can help through buying my book so that diay cost ti book a maurnung, I can donate it to those people in need,” he added.

Interested individuals may reserve their copy by contacting him via messenger or Facebook account.

He is teaching Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP) for Grade 9, Practical Research 1 and 2, Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person, Introduction to World Religion and Belief Systems, and Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik at CPNHS.
