Tabuk City, Kalinga – Through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, the provincial government of Kalinga on Monday, March 15, 2021, granted a check amounting to P20, 000 to Pedro Bangguiyac, a 101-year old senior citizen from Barangay Babbanoy, Tanudan.
Said assistance is hoped to augment some of his expenses including his medicines and vitamins.
According to Provincial Information Officer Dionica Mercado, the grant is part of the program of Governor Ferdinand Tubban’s administration which started in December 2020, aiming to provide support to elders having reached 100 years of age and above.
