15 and 16-yr.-old out of school youth steal tricycle, ransack store in Isabela


Isabela, Philippines – Two minor out-of-school youth will be facing charges after stealing a tricycle and ransacking a store over the weekend in Cauayan, Isabela.


The suspects are 15 and 16-year-olds.


The two were the subjects of a hot pursuit operation by the police after a 55-year-old tricycle driver of Cabaruan, Cauayan lost his vehicle to thieves in the early hours of Sunday, Oct. 15.

He found out his tricycle was stolen when he can no longer find it at their backyard where he left the vehicle, as mentioned by 98.5 iFM Cauayan.


The minors were cornered by the operatives in Barangay Tagaran where they recovered the tricycle with grocery items inside.


These goods were later confirmed to be stolen as well. The evidence was traced to the reported burglary that happened around 6:00 a.m. on Sunday where the store owner lost P7,000 cash and a P2,000-worth grocery items.


Both of the teen suspects are expected to be charged with Robbery and violation of Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
