BAGUIO CITY — The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) will deploy 3,458 police personnel across the region for Undas 2026, more than double the 1,371 officers deployed last year.

The police deployment aims to ensure public safety during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on November 1 and 2.

In a statement on October 14, PRO-CAR said personnel will secure 190 cemeteries, five memorial parks and one columbarium across the region.

Of the personnel assigned to security operations, 224 will man Police Assistance Desks to handle public inquiries, emergency reports and other concerns.

Another 555 officers will conduct roving patrols, while 742 will be deployed at checkpoints to deter criminal activities, maintain orderly traffic and ensure prompt responses to incidents.

Meanwhile, 296 police personnel will be assigned to tourist destinations, 255 to places of worship, 182 to major thoroughfares and 57 to transportation hubs.

During the Kapihan sa Cordillera on October 14, PRO-CAR Regional Public Information Office chief Lt. Col. Genevieve B. Revocal reminded the public that firearms, bladed weapons, alcoholic beverages and cigarettes are prohibited inside cemeteries.

The use of loudspeakers, gambling and bringing pets, including dogs and cats, into cemeteries are also prohibited.

Revocal said the restrictions aim to maintain safety, order and a peaceful environment for prayer and remembrance.

PRO-CAR also urged the public to secure their homes and belongings before traveling, follow traffic advisories and remain vigilant in crowded areas. Suspicious activities and emergencies should be reported immediately to the nearest police officer or station.
