BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Pines City Colleges (PCC) and Saint Louis University (SLU) posted high passing rates in the October 2026 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), with PCC recording a 100% passing rate and SLU placing second among schools with at least 100 examinees.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), in results released on October 15, reported that 4,165 of the 4,447 examinees passed the examination, equivalent to a national passing rate of 93.66%.

All 28 examinees from PCC passed the licensure examination, placing the Baguio City-based school among nine institutions with a 100% passing rate in the category for schools with 25 to 49 examinees.

SLU, meanwhile, recorded 122 passers out of 123 examinees, or a 99.19% passing rate. The university ranked second among schools with at least 100 examinees and a passing rate of 85% or higher.

The results drew congratulatory messages from both institutions.

The PCC School of Medicine–Medical Student Council celebrated the success of its new doctors, recognizing the years of studying, sacrifices, doubts and prayers behind their achievement.

“As you begin this new chapter of healing, serving, and touching lives, may you never forget the dream that brought you here,” the council said in its congratulatory message.

SLU also congratulated its School of Medicine and newly licensed physicians for their performance in the examination.

The October 2026 PLE results highlighted the strong performance of the two Baguio City medical schools, with their graduates joining thousands of newly licensed physicians nationwide.
