BAUKO, Mountain Province — A ₱45-million standard Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) building was inaugurated in Bauko on October 13, providing police personnel with a permanent base intended to strengthen emergency response, operational coordination and community safety across Mountain Province.

The multi-storey facility, located at the Regional Evacuation Ground in Barangay Poblacion, was funded under the 2025 General Appropriations Act. Construction began on April 11, 2025, and was completed on August 4, 2026.

The building is the first standard PMFC facility of its kind, following the uniform architectural, structural, operational and tactical specifications prescribed by the National Police Commission and the Philippine National Police.

The municipal government of Bauko donated the 1,100-square-meter lot where the facility now stands.

In a message delivered by Atty. Sebastian Badongen, Mayor Rondolf T. Awisan said the permanent facility recognizes the PMFC personnel’s years of service despite previously lacking adequate facilities.

Awisan said the building would serve as a base for faster mobilization and closer coordination with the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office, Bureau of Fire Protection and local government units, particularly during peace and order operations and disasters affecting the province’s 10 municipalities.

Police Regional Office-Cordillera Director PBGen Noel B. Vallo urged PMFC personnel to use the facility to strengthen teamwork, professionalism and public service.

“Let us ensure that this investment translates into safer communities, protected lives, and greater public trust,” Vallo said.

During the inauguration, PRO-CAR also turned over search-and-rescue equipment to the Mountain Province PMFC and Police Provincial Office to strengthen their emergency response and community assistance capabilities.

The ceremony included a ribbon-cutting, unveiling of commemorative markers and blessing of the building officiated by Rev. Fr. Johnson Falitang.

Local government officials, police personnel and other stakeholders attended the event.
