Among the latest young fatalities was recorded in Cabagan with three minors involved in a road accident around 9:30 p.m. at the Cabagan-Bagutari Bridge in Barangay Cansan.

Cabagan Police Chief, PMaj. Merwin Villanueva, in his interview with XFM Santiago City, mentioned that a witness claimed that the motorcycle ferrying the three teens, believed to be on their way home, hit a cow before it crashed against the wall.

The rescue team rushed the 16-year-old, who drove the motorcycle and the 15-year-old back rider to the hospital. Unfortunately, the 16-year-old victim was declared dead on arrival, while the 15-year-old passed away from his injuries at the hospital. The 14-year-old back rider, meantime, was said to have been tracked by the police in a follow-up investigation after she immediately left the scene and went home with her injuries due to fear.

Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
