18-year-old student Dead on the Spot after motorcycle plunges into irrigation canal in San Manuel, Isabela

San Manuel, Isabela – The life of an 18-year-old college student was tragically cut short following a motorcycle accident that claimed his life on Monday, November 3, 2025.

The victim, identified under the pseudonym “Dave,” was a resident of San Pedro–San Pablo, Aurora, Isabela.

According to information obtained by a local media outlet from the police, a barangay tanod discovered Dave’s body lying beside a motorcycle near an irrigation canal in Barangay District 1, San Manuel.

Alarmed by the discovery, the tanod immediately notified authorities, who then proceeded to the scene to investigate.

Based on the initial investigation conducted by the San Manuel Police Station, Dave was riding his motorcycle when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle upon reaching a curved section of the road in the said barangay.

As a result, the motorcycle crashed into the irrigation canal. Due to the force of the impact, the victim sustained severe injuries to various parts of his body. The police confirmed that he died on the spot.

Following the findings of the investigation, the victim’s family expressed belief that no foul play was involved in the incident and declined to have the body autopsied.
