2 delivery men robbed, left handcuffed in Gamu, Isabela


Isabela, Philippines – Two men on delivery truck lost collection and personal belongings to robbers in Gamu, Isabela on January 17.


Both victims who are employees of JT International (Phils.) Inc. based in Cauayan City were handcuffed and left by the perpetrators on the road.

Police authorities revealed that Alberto Reyes, 45, driver and June Atuan, 29, sales representative were on board their delivery truck after they ate their lunch in Junction Upi.


The two drove towards the farm-to-market road in Purok 3 A in Barangay Upi when 2 unidentified men on a motorcycle followed them.


Reyes stopped the truck and moved out of the vehicle after the two men flagged them down.


Then and there, the perpetrators pointed their gun at the victims and declared a ‘hold-up’.

The two suspects took the victims’ wallet containing P3,000; a Samsung Galaxy Tablet worth P30,000; and a cellphone worth P13, 000. The company’s collection worth P2,132 along with the truck’s dash cam, key, and documents was also stolen by the suspects.


Reyes and Atuan were handcuffed by the robbers before they escaped the crime scene.


The police are now looking for the suspects.
