21-yr.-old man in Peñablanca, Cagayan hangs self

Peñablanca, Cagayan – A 21-year-old man allegedly commited suicide in a house under construction in Patagueleg, Peñablanca on Monday, August 21.

The victim was hidden by the name ‘Jericho’, a resident of Gammad, Iguig.

A report from the town’s Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office stated they proceeded to the area 1:30 PM of said date to “respond to a trauma (strangulation).”

A physical assessment and checking of vital signs were made on the victim, who was declared dead on the spot by a doctor assigned to the barrio in the area.

The remains of the victim were later ferried to a funeral parlor for proper disposition.

In the investigation conducted, it was known that the victim left their house morning of said date.

It was later discovered in the afternoon that he had died by suicide.

His family revealed that this was not the first time the victim tried to put an end to his life.

They likewise refused to let the victim’s body be autopsied, believing that there was no foul play in the incident.
