3 Cordillerans to join Mister Island Tourism PH 2024

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Following the impressive first runner-up finish of Kyle Brent Kimayong of Benguet in the Mister Island Tourism PH 2023, three Cordillerans are trying their luck once again in the prestigious pageant’s edition this year.

The said national pageant features men who are not only blessed with charm but are also good advocates of tourism, and environmental sustainability and conservation.

Representing Baguio City is Armani Floresca, while Jereed Lou Waclin Tido will serve as the sash-bearer of Benguet. Cleelan Evan will carry the banner of Mt. Province.

Floresca, a navy reservist and former contender for the Mr. and Ms. University of the Cordilleras, is championing volunteerism throughout his national pageant journey.

Tido, a kick boxer, targets to promote holistic development through sports and fitness. He is not a newbie to the pageantry world since he is the current Mr. Buguias and also joined other pageants such as Mr. Earth, La Union in 2023 and Mr. Millennial, Binalonan, Pangasinan in 2022, among others.

As for Evan, a marine engineering student and a model, he will bring into the world of pageantry his advocacy on promoting environmental sustainability and protecting marine resources for sustainable development goals.

As a victim of bullying back then, he is also passionate in combatting this issue on the aforementioned national pageant.

Prior to joining this pageant, he already had an experience in the industry as he was the Hari ng Hiyas ng Baguio in 2023.

The trio will kick-off their journey to the crown on April 26, with its pre-pageant event to take place at the Waterworld Resort in Mandaue City and culminates on the pageant’s coronation night slated for April 28 at the Artic Hall, Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Cebu City.

As the trio embarks on their journey to the world of pageantry, former Its Showtime Tawag ng Tanghalan’ contender Sandex Nunag, who happened to be one of the team members handling the trio is filled with optimism.

He believes that the pageant journey of these young men would help in breaking the barriers and stereotypes about Cordilleran men and that, this trio will showcase a commendable performance in the national pageant stage.
