3 individuals evading quarantine checkpoint caught with P.8M Marijuana

Baguio City, Philippines – Three individuals in the city were caught in possession of Marijuana after the police stopped their vehicle at a Quarantine Control Point at Lower Magsaysay evening of December 6.

In a report by the Philippine National Police – Cordillera, the suspects are identified as Manuel Sanchez Balbuena II, 22; Kasmir Vince Del Mundo Gile, 28; and Keihl Gio Paraan Baniqued, 22.

Accordingly, the suspects on board a Toyota Fortuner first passed through a checkpoint manned by the City Mobile Force Company. The latter tried to flag them down, however, the driver instead of complying sped off towards the city.

The suspects after having entered the city was later stopped by another group of uniformed personnel when they attempted to pass through a Quarantine Control Point at Lower Magsaysay.

This paved way to the discovery of 7 kilograms of tubular Marijuana stalks worth of P840,000 inside their vehicle. The three were arrested.

Meanwhile, in a separate report of PDEA Cordillera, they noted that the occupants were allegedly to be on high with one of them even smiling.
