Baguio City, Philippines – The 31-year-old man who fell from the fifth-floor floor of a hotel in Baguio City on Friday succumbed to his injuries a day after the incident.

The 31-year-old man, as reported by the Mountain Beacon, was pronounced dead by his attending physician at 3:04 p.m. on Saturday, January 17 due to the critical injuries he sustained from the fall.

It was earlier reported that the man fell from the balcony of a hotel along Abanao Street around 5:40 p.m. on January 16. A witness saw the man walking along the hotel balcony before climbing over the railing at the time. The witness, who reportedly took a video, captured the man hanging from the balcony and holding onto the iron railing before he lost his grip and fell.

The man was described to have landed on the rear portion of a taxi that was passing along Shanum Street. The victim was rushed to the hospital. However, he later passed away from his injuries.

Meanwhile, on January 16, just about two hours before the incident, five women were struck by a free-shuttle service minibus at Camp John Hay, where a 63-year-old retired head teacher died on the spot.
