TABUK CITY, Kalinga — A member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) of Tabuk City has filed a proposed resolution seeking a legislative inquiry into complaints of low water pressure, no water from faucets, and murky water being experienced by consumers of Tabuk Water.

The information was posted by SP Member Atty. Errol B. Comafay Jr. on August 28, 2026, announcing his filing of the proposed resolution to determine the causes of the reported water supply problems and identify possible solutions.

“Ngayong umaga ay nag file tayo ng Resolution para hingiin na magkaroon ng inquiry in aid of legislation para alamin ang dahilan sa mga reklamo ng mga consumers ng Tabuk…” Comafay said.

Under the proposed resolution, the SP would invite the Manager and engineers of Tabuk Water, the City Engineer, City Planning and Development Officer, City Legal Officer, and concerned Tabuk Water consumers to attend a legislative inquiry during an upcoming session.

The inquiry aims to determine the reasons behind the reported water supply concerns and explore measures that could address them.

The proposed resolution also requests the City Legal Officer to furnish the SP with a copy of the existing contract between the City Government of Tabuk and Tabuk Water.

The document further directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to the Office of the City Mayor, City Engineering Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Legal Services Office, and the Office of the Manager of Tabuk Water.

The move comes amid complaints from consumers regarding the availability and quality of water, with the proposed inquiry intended to provide the city council with information that could guide possible legislative action.
