Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 36-year-old resident of Tabuk City was arrested after robbing a Pakistani national and his live-in partner in Arellano, Quezon, Isabela on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Police accounts revealed that the suspect, identified by the alias “Edmar,” approached the victims—a 43-year-old woman and a Pakistani national—and held them at gunpoint at around 4:20 p.m.

At the time of the incident, the Pakistani national had stepped out of the vehicle to buy mobile load. The suspect allegedly forcibly opened the car and took a bag containing gold earrings, P7,000 dirhams, two gold bracelets, two Pakistani passports, and a national driver’s license.

The suspect reportedly did not harm the victims but fled with their valuables in an unknown direction.

Quezon police and other units were immediately alerted, prompting a hot pursuit operation that led to Edmar’s arrest and the confiscation of suspected marijuana and a firearm. Other items seized from him included three passports, a pair of earrings, a gold bracelet, a steel wristwatch, and a Hyundai Accent, among others.

Edmar is currently detained at the Quezon Municipal Police Station.
