Tabuk City, Kalinga – During the September 05 flag raising ceremony held at Multi-Purpose Gymnasium at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, in La Trinidad, Benguet, the Police Regional Office in Cordillera awarded medals to five Kalinga cops for their exemplary performance of duty.

Heroism medals or “Medalya ng Kadakilaan” were conferred to Chief of Police of Tabuk City Police Station, PLT Dinulong Tombali; PLT Ruben Balanoy; Police Staff Sergeant Daniel Andomang; Police Corporal Percival Bagyon, all from Tabuk CPS; and PLT Reygualdo Martinez of 2nd Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company.

The Police Regional Office, in a press release, said the cops were given recognition for their successful checkpoint operation that resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Drug Personality in the province on Friday, September 02 in Barangay Dupag, Tabuk City.

On said day, the awardees intercepted a white van ferrying marijuana from Tinglayan.

Through their interception, 126 dried marijuana bricks and 4 tubes of dried marijuana were confiscated. The items weighed 118,270.80 grams, with a Standard Drug Price of P14,192,296.

Kalinga Police Provincial stated that the 5 cops will likewise receive cash incentives from the Regional Director of PRO-Cordillera in addition to their heroism medals.
